We have been retained by Histosonics, a startup company in the Minneapolis/St Paul area, to recruit a Field Service Engineer. The company is developing a sonic beam therapy platform capable of destroying tissue at a subcellular level.
In this role you will be part of a small and growing team where you will focus on providing technical support and service to customers by answering questions, troubleshooting equipment issues, perform upgrades, plus on-site preventative maintenance, and repair.
Ideal candidates will have a technical degree with a minimum of 6 years’ experience in medical device machine systems (SW, HW, Mechanics, Cabling), capital equipment technical support, troubleshooting problems, on-site service and preventable maintenance and repair.
Company will also consider someone at a Senior level or higher. This role could also move into a manager role in the future as the company continues to grow.
Candidates MUST live in the Twin Cities area as this is an on-site role and relocation is not being considered.
Desired Education/Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 6-10 years or experience in on-site service of medical devices or an equivalent combination of education and experience in servicing medical equipment.
- Demonstrated familiarity and understanding of integrating multiple machine systems (SW, HW, Mechanics and Cabling).
- Willingness to travel on average 40-60% of the work week.
- Solid understanding of GMP/ISO standards and the ability to maintain compliance to our QMS.
- Strong problem-solving ability, with good communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented, highly organized, and self-motivated.
- Computer skills, to include spreadsheets, word processing, MRP/ERP systems, and project management.
