Petros has been engaged to recruit a Senior Manager of Product Development and Manufacturing for GT Metabolic Solutions, a startup company in the Minneapolis metro area. The company is developing a magnetic gastrointestinal device developed with a pioneering physician in the bariatric surgery space.
This is a hands-on, ”working manager” role which will be the Technical Lead in providing technical and people leadership in the Product Design, Development and Manufacturing functions.
Responsibilities will include: lead product design and manufacturing teams to successfully transition new products into manufacturing, work closely with R&D team to support product concept development and prototype builds. Work closely with Quality team to ensure all product, process, training, and qualification documentation is complete and compliant with regulatory requirements. Work closely with Operations team to support build schedule and implement product and process improvements.
Background:
- 4-year bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, manufacturing systems, etc.)
- 8-10 years’ experience in transitioning new products from R&D to manufacturing
- 8-10 years’ experience in medical devices/products industry
- 5 or more years leading teams with direct people management responsibilities (>2 direct reports)
- Solidworks® CAD experience
